Alexandra M. Freer-Hernandez is no stranger to the Non-Profit world, having spent 13 years in different positions as Executive Director, Director of Quality, Assurance and Compliance and Deputy Director for Residential Services, where she was responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, including strategic planning, program management, fundraising, and ensuring the organization achieved its mission by collaborating closely with the board of directors and local government members.
Alexandra has more than 23 years of legal experience in Puerto Rico where she was born and raised.
Before joining the boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester in January 2025, Alexandra worked for a diverse range of organizations, including the Government of Puerto Rico, Non-profit and private sectors.
Alexandra specializes in operations efficiency and has successfully served a range of clients including entrepreneurs, corporate professionals, nonprofit organizations and CEOs.
Alexandra is also the creator of an entrepreneurial ecosystem that included a One Stop Shop which was aimed at low-income individuals who wanted to make a difference in their communities by starting a business as well as established business owners that wanted to expand their operations in the food industry. This center was built in her hometown of Mayaguez, PR and was used by multiple business owners who enjoyed having a commercial grade production space they could lease at low cost. Also, she lead the effort to have the first community kitchen established in the Island as part of a hub where warehouse space, distribution services and all the administrative support clients needed on a daily basis.
