Mental Wellness Program
Thanks to years of advocacy, spearheaded by BGCNW CEO, Alyzza Ozer, the Club is the first community-based organization (CBO) to receive federal funding for preventative mental wellness programming. We have partnered with Cognitive Behavioral Consultants to implement a three-tiered, comprehensive wellness program for all staff and members.
The three tiered approach includes: 1) trauma-informed training, DBT training, preventative care, and improved communications for staff; 2) infusion of DBT approach in programming; and, 3) on-site licensed clinicians leading family and community workshops, liaising with community partners, and supporting members and staff.
