On January 28th, CEO Alyzza Ozer, along with Director of Teen Programs Christopher Beaudreault, and Donor Impact Officer John Tunas, traveled with 18 Club teens to the State Capitol to advocate for important funding for afterschool programs and services.
The teen prepared for months to understand legislation so that they might speak with state lawmakers, sharing their stories of the impact of youth development programming, in hopes of getting more than $250,000 back to funding programs that were cut last year. The teens were recognized on the Assembly floor
Alyzza and 4 teen leaders were invited to share their experience live on WPIX11 Morning News.
