This week, BGCNW Marlins Swim Team Head Coach, Zac Hojnacki and Head Age Group Coach, Connor White, were awarded the well deserved USA Swimming Metro Swimming Senior Coach of the Year, and Must Watch Age Group Coach of the Year, respectively! The were celebrated with a parade of Club members carrying a congratulations banner and balloons, and ice cream for Ben & Jerry’s. County Legislator, Erika Pierce presented each coach with a Proclamation of Achievement!
Our swim team has also had a stellar year of accomplishments! Some of the year’s highlights include winning their 23rd consecutive annual BGCA National Swim Championships, having two team members, Erik Nadecki and Annabel Smith as LC 2023 Senior METS Champions and 2023 US Open Qualifiers, and having 6 team members qualify at the 2023 US Summer Junior Nationals.
We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for our team and coaches!
