@Senator Pete Harckham and @chris4bedford Burdick understand the importance of after school programming for our community, and that youth participate in essential academic, wellness and social programming while enjoying hot nutritious meals made on-site at the Club. After receiving only 3 months notice that the last year of a NYS contract would end 1 year early, causing unintended, devastating consequences, Senator Harckham and Assemblymember Burdick mobilized all efforts immediately; serving as our champions; and secured $280,000 of emergency legislative funding. This would not be possible without the advocacy efforts of our Club members, staff, and the community! #bgcnw #communityadvocacy #afterschoolprogramming @thompson_bender

The WPWDB, in partnership with Westchester County, is hosting a 1-Day Youth Voter Registration Drive on October 10th from 2pm–5pm at seven locations throughout the county.

Young voters (ages 16 and up) are encouraged to visit any of the following locations:

• Guidance Center: 256 Washington Street, Mt. Vernon, NY
